IFSC Combined Qualifier to Receive International Broadcasting Coverage
The final international Sport Climbing event of 2019 takes place this week in Toulouse, France, from 28th November – 1st December. As the second opportunity for athletes to qualify for the Olympic Games Tokyo 2020, the IFSC Combined Qualifier is set to receive international broadcasting coverage.
In Japan, the event is to be broadcast live on J Sports and in Latin America, ESPN Latin America will also air the qualifier live. Sport Climbing fans in Slovenia can tune into the Speed and Bouldering finals live on RTV (SLO 2), with the channel also broadcasting the Lead finals delayed-as-live on Sunday evening (1st December, 21.30). Live coverage is also scheduled in Korea through channels SPOTV (Eclat) and FPT, with Eurosport Player streaming the event live across Europe. France TV’s online site will stream the finals live and the Olympic Channel is also set to provide a live broadcast online, which is to be aired internationally.
Delayed coverage will be offered by NHK in Japan, with a two-hour highlight programme to be shown in late December. In the USA, NBC are to air the event delayed-as-live, then further broadcasts are to be aired by Chinese network CCTV5, French channel Equipe and Japanese broadcaster TBS. Swiss channel SRG is to provide news coverage of the IFSC Combined Qualifier, in addition to Japanese major television networks such as TBS.
The event is also set to be streamed live on the IFSC YouTube channel, where following the event, the action will be made available to watch on demand.
